Dreaming of Las Vegas again
Earlier this week, I had a dream we here once again I was back in Las Vegas. I was transported to a gaming room that resembled more like a Chuck E Cheese and a Dave and Buster's than an actual casino.
I was working on winning some tickets for a grand prize. After that, I was working harder to escape from that room and get into a restaurant. Specifically, I was trying to get into another buffet restaurant.
I don't know what it is about me and buffets (except I like them).
I still felt trapped inside that gaming room with nowhere to go. I was very stuck. The exit door seemed so far away and some heavy vending machine kept pushing me further away from the exit. Yikes.
Still, I could taste the cooked red meat that was waiting for me.
I felt like I was getting closer and closer to my destination, and before I knew it, I woke up.
I got out of bed early enough to get ready for work and go to work on time at WGCL-TV.
In reality, I'm blessed to be working and providing for my family during this difficult time of the coronavirus pandemic.
I don't get down in the dumps that my family and I aren't traveling on vacation right now. I know that we are all doing are part to be safe and healthy by staying home as much as possible.
We will travel again one day soon.

Another dream deferred
The Coronavirus pandemic has caused my family and I to do the right thing and reschedule our trip for next Spring Break. It is definitely a first world problem. I mean, if my wife and I have waited nine years to get back on the big boat, we can wait one more.
Our main priorities are our family's health, well-being, and everyone else's health and safety.
My wife and I are able to work from home as long as we need to. We will do the best we can to take care of our two sons while we're on this home-bound journey.
I'll do my best to entertain them, but their tablets are doing that for them.
I only wish I could take my family on board a cruise so that our sons could see how much fun it is for the first time.
I wanted to ride down the water slides with Ben and Blake. I wanted my wife, Kelly, to record our slides together.

Dreaming about Whataburger
I had visions of small whataburger juniors and mini-pizzas for $1 a piece. In the dream, I got close to a bite of each one of those two foods. I came close. Along the way I was in search of my son Ben. He could have been anywhere in the airport.
In reality, I woke up. I haven't had a whataburger for more than a year down in Florida. I had pizza within the last week, and I ate pizza bites yesterday. I haven't been to Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in almost six years.
I just had a homemade hamburger for breakfast here at work this morning. I'm not even hungry anymore, only thirsty.
