I was an early Monday or Tuesday morning that I was finishing up my sleep for the night and I was watching a FOX/NFL game where my Atlanta Falcons were battling the New Orleans Saints.
In the dream, I think the Falcons had a 7-0 lead before Drew Brees and the Saints were scoring at will on them.
It was immediately tied at 7, then it was 14-7 New Orleans, then it became 21-7, 28-7, 35-7, 42-7, you get the idea. It was 42-7 in the 3rd quarter and the Falcons had no answers for them.
It just seemed like the Saints were running up the score on the Falcons and the game would have no end.
It didn't seem like a repeat of the 2014 season series between these two teams where the Saints just squeaked by in both victories over the falcons, sweeping the season series. In the dream, it was a total butt-kicking.
Now in reality, I saw at least half the game and my Falcons came out on top 30-14, sweeping the season series for the first time in 9 years. The Falcons are 6-9, and have a chance to win the NFC South and host a wild card game.
With that victory, the Falcons eliminated the Saints from the postseason picture. The Falcons will host the Carolina Panthers on Sunday for a shot at getting back to the super bowl.
Good luck to my Falcons.
