Scary dream for me indeed
Early this morning, I had a dream where I was at an unknown place paying an unknown bill.
It was scary for two reasons. It was at least a $300 bill and it was a bill I had no cash to cover it all.
It was something I'm trying to avoid in real life. Not the bill itself, but for the way I was paying for it in my dream.
In my scary dream, I whipped out my old credit card to pay off my bill that I owed. I had a bad feeling about it once I got the plastic out.
It's something I never want to do in my dreams or in life ever again. I owe it to myself and to my family to be completely clean and clear of debt.
Looking back, I still can't remember what I did to have to stand in a long line and pay something that cost over $300 with a credit card in my dream.
It was made worse when I had brought my wife and children with me. It was truly a humbling day and time.
In reality, I have not used a credit card all year. I truly cannot remember the last time I've used credit to pay for something or to get through anything.
I'm prepared to do whatever it takes to get myself out of debt. I owe it to them (no pun intended). I have long term goals that I want to reach with my family.
In the end, those trips, dining experiences, and new things for our home will truly taste better after being paid for with cash.

My Sun Devil hoops dream turns into a nightmare
I was sitting here at work feeling good about myself as my Arizona State Sun Devils were shooting for the stars in Las Vegas on Wednesday afternoon.
ASU lead USC in the first round of the PAC-12 Tournament for most of the way. I didn't have any doubt that my team was going to extend their stay for a second day.
After ASU lead 60-46 with a little more than nine minutes to play in the game, the Sun Devils suddenly forgot how to score.
USC outscored my Sun Devils 21-4 to end the game and perhaps end their season.
Do my Sun Devils have what it takes to close out lesser opponents? Do my Sun Devils have great coaching that can get players out of their slumps? Do my Sun Devils even have coaches that can inspire their fanbase? No, no, and no.
I could hear the pain and disbelief from Tim Healey and Kyle Dodd respectively down the stretch. They mentioned that key Sun Devils were scared of taking the big shot.
As an athlete, you can't be afraid to step up in a big game at a big moment. You're fighting for something bigger than yourselves. You have a chance to do something special in a postseason tournament where anything can happen.
Anything happened alright, USC took control of its own destiny despite being the 12th seed and advanced to the second round to face UCLA on Thursday.
Arizona State is sent packing like the down on their luck losers at a Vegas casino. I know, it pained me to write that last sentence.
See the highlights here down below:
Near the end are the lowlights for my team.
I say it's time to turn the page and start a new chapter in our Sun Devil basketball history. It's time for Athletic Director Ray Anderson to bring in his guy to lead our squad to the promised land.
Next thing you know, I'll have dreams about my Sun Devils winning big in Vegas and in the PAC-12 Tournament.

Dreaming of Ben speaking to me
Earlier in the week, I was in the middle of a cool dream.
My dream was in the exact bedroom I sleep in. It was where my son Ben was talking to me saying "I love you Teddy." He was talking to our cat, but I heard him say actual words to me.
In the dream, I thought that was the coolest thing I've ever seen and heard. I didn't cry, weep, or anything like that. I didn't say anything back to him. I was rendered speechless to every word he said.
In reality, there are days that he says daddy, da da, and dada and sometimes associates that words to me.
I've even heard him say kitty to our cat Gandalf P. Kitty. Ben has gotten better in playing with Gandalf. He doesn't bite Gandalf as much as he used to.
Ben has to get better about not tackling Gandalf when he's already laying down on the ground.
I'm happier and happier every day I'm with him. I'm amazed at what he can do, how fast he can run, how excited he can be, and how he can say new words to my wife and I every single day.
We love you Ben.
