Dreaming of being on an OKC freeway

Earlier this morning, I found myself heading south/west down I-44 through Oklahoma City.

My dream started where I was at a large convenience store parking lot to get some food and drink.  From there, I was getting ready to head back "home" to Phoenix.

This convenience store was located in Locust Grove, Oklahoma (the former home town of my mom).
From Locust Grove, I jumped straight into Oklahoma City.  I completely skipped over Tulsa along the way.

In this dream, I saw a sign for "Future Interstate 3" in town.  I thought that was weird.  My dream gets much weirder from here on out.

Instead of my staying on the freeway, I merge 4 or 5 lanes over to the left and get into a lane that resembles a carnival/amusement park ride more than it does a freeway lane.

I'm riding in a roller coaster car with my wife, son Ben, and Melissa McCarthy from "Mike and Molly."  Just moments later, my roller coaster car turns into an automobile and I know that I'm in BIG BIG trouble.  I'm wondering to myself 'how do I get out of this.'

I don't know what happened the rest of the way in my dream, but moments later, I find myself "home" back in Phoenix.

I'm at an airport sports bar watching on TV the Phoenix Suns play at the New Jersey Nets.  It was an old Fox Sports Arizona production.  I was happy to see my SUNS play on TV from my hometown for the first time in many, many years.

Later on, I'm supposed to be heading on a trip to Las Vegas.

Before I take my trip to Sin City, I decide to go to a movie theater to see some sort of movie.  I got my popcorn and soda, and I sit in my brown/orange seat.  Late in my dream, I see gunmen with big long guns looking to shoot people.  The auditorium was well lit at that point for me to see what I was facing.

They looked threatening, complete with military fatigues on.  The guns scared me more.  After that, I wake up.

In reality:  I haven't been to Oklahoma City since I went to an NBA game with my sister and my niece in 4 years.  There's never going to be an Interstate 3 in OKC (maybe there will be one in Savannah, GA).  I haven't been to Vegas in 8 years and I don't plan on going until 2017.  I haven't been to Phoenix in 3 years and I have no plans to visit there at this time.

I'm so glad to get back to blogging.  I skipped the whole month of April and I had no dreams to remember.
