Dreaming of working a super bowl as a TECH

I had a dream where I was going to be a freelance field tech to work the upcoming super bowl.  In the dream, the super bowl was to be played at Miami's Sun Life Stadium.  This is sort of what it looked like in my dream.
I was to board a flight from my homebase of Phoenix, Arizona to Miami, Florida to begin a four day stretch of non-stop work from Thursday-Sunday.  I was so excited, I got in my AOL instant messenger program to confirm whether or not I actually got the job.

Somewhere else in the dream, I had to make sure that I watched a videotaped message from an old VCR that I owned to make sure that I was getting the job.  I seemed to have complete confidence in my ability to rewind tape in my old VCR without it breaking to make sure I rewound the tape in order to videotape the secret message I was supposed to get.

I was hoping that I would get a final confirmation that I got this job and that I could start packing my bags and boarding a flight to Miami as soon as possible.

I would have had a wonderful opportunity to work with an old colleague that I used to work with as a runner for PAC-12 football.  He was one of the nicest guys I've ever worked with.

In reality, I don't work as a freelancer anymore and Super Bowl 49 will be played at the University of Phoenix Stadium on February 1st.  Sun Life Stadium last hosted a super bowl in 2010 and is not destined to host another one for quite some time.

Dreaming of Work, Travel, and Las Vegas again

Earlier this morning, I had dreams that all came together:  dreams of working with someone while riding roller coasters to my destination, getting back home to Georgia, and being in Las Vegas with my wife.

I was working along side one of my CBS46 colleagues and was heading home to Atlanta.  Along the way, I was riding along in a roller coaster car.  I was travelling on highways, freeways, and flying roller coasters.  Somehow, at least in the dream, I landed every single one of the roller coasters that were high up in the air.  I landed safely on the track and seemed to go at least 100 miles an hour each and every time.

Somehow, I ended up in Chicago near Wrigley Field.  I don't remember ever getting back home to my intended destination of Atlanta.  I'll assume that I didn't make it home on time.

Later on in the dream, I was at my most common dream destination:  Las Vegas.  We were at one of the nicer hotels deciding on what to eat for dinner.

We were trying to decide on going to either a nice sit down restaurant or to go to a buffet with some Pepsi and enjoy all the foods and confections there.

As usual, I woke up.  No Vegas for me for a while.  The best part of waking up is seeing Baby Ben first thing in the morning and then having my cup of coffee to start my day.

With Baby Irwin #2 on the way, I won't be traveling to Las Vegas anytime soon.  I'll be looking forward to seeing my two little babies grow and prosper.  I can't wait to see what they become years from now.

Let my weekend begin.

I had a weird dream about CBS

I don't know how to describe this one.  I was walking around with what I believe were cast members of "The Young and the Restless" from the early 1990's.  I didn't recognize any of the cast since I haven't been watching the show until 2012.  In some weird way, I felt that I knew the cast my entire life.

Along the way, I was following some people around in trying to get a job with CBS out in Los Angeles.  After all, L.A. has been my dream market my entire life.  In reality, I don't think I'll ever live there now that I have a family in place here in Georgia.  I guess I can still dream in my sleep.

Somewhere along the way in my dream, I was going from one room to another inside this big house.  Somewhere in that house, my dad popped up again.  I thought he had passed away nearly eight years ago.  For some reason, he came back to life to somehow rescue me from something.  I hope that I didn't anger him by transforming the house into something me and my family could live in and make our own.

I also had a dream where I was trying to run up to one of my TV heroes, Weatherman Kevin O'Connell.  As a kid, I remember watching him on Channel 4 in Southern California.  I don't remember all the weather reports he did, but I remember him as a silver-haired charismatic TV man.  As a kid, all I wanted to do was be on TV.

In reality, I am happy to be in TV today.  I'm more behind the scenes in editing news videos for CBS46 and cbs46.com here in Atlanta.  I hope to do more great things in 2015.  Right now, I'll learn as much as I can about editing and take it as it comes.

Life is good.
