Sports Dreams

This year, I dream that either the New Orleans Pelicans or the Oklahoma City Thunder represent the Western Conference in the  NBA Finals.  I dream that the Phoenix Suns make the playoffs in 2018-2019.

I want either the Vegas Golden Knights, Winnipeg Jets, or Nashville Predators to reach the Stanley Cup Finals.

I dream that the San Diego Padres, Arizona Diamondbacks, Texas Rangers, Kansas City Royals, and Atlanta Braves make the playoffs in baseball.

Finally in the NFL, I want the Atlanta Falcons, Jacksonville Jaguars, Arizona Cardinals, LA Chargers, and LA Rams make the playoffs.

Dreaming of San Francisco

Last week, I was dreaming that I was riding in a car with Gary Long and some of his friends.  I was going southbound on US 101 and getting on the Golden Gate Bridge.  Out in the distance, I saw AT&T Park and the unbuilt Chase Center (Future home of the Golden State Warriors).

In my dream, the unreconstructed arena looked more like a miniaturized version of the Houston Astrodome.

Later in my dream, Gary, me, and his friends all go inside this house somewhere in Southern California.  It reminded me a lot of the house my dad, grandma, and I stayed at in 1982.  The house reminded me of when I was six years old in San Marcos, California.

So in my dream, I ate some yummy McDonalds French Fries.

In reality, I woke up for work.  I have not been to San Marcos since 2006.  I don't have plans to go back to California for anything anytime soon.

My best connection to the San Diego is the KUSI NEWS on kusi.com and on the livestream website.

Someday, I will visit San Francisco.

Journal Entry for the Week in Review for September 12 - 18, 2016

MONDAY:   I woke up to the realization that my A, B, and C NFL teams all lost to start the 2016 season.  I don't remember a whole lot from that day.

TUESDAY:  Blake and I have a lot of fun together before I have to go to work.  I'm looking forward to the end of baseball season since none of my teams are playing in October.

WEDNESDAY:   Outside day.  After we ate breakfast and watched some cartoons, we had some fun playing on their water table.  I have to be better at not being a 'scared daddy' when they do something like climb on the water table or play near the garden.   Thankfully Kelly was with me today.  I think we play very well together as a family.  One of my favorite activities is to play on the water table and pour water down into a bowl and watch it slide down.  I even let them play with the hose and spray each other.

Gandalf looks very content with playing in the box.  He's good at hiding.  He can hide well inside the house or in the garage.  I lure him with treats to get him close to me.

I got the best mama for taking care of our boys.

Blake and Ben are getting very messy with their 'sketti'.  At least their happy and fed :-)

THURSDAY:  Nothing noteworthy other than Ben going to preschool and me going to work.

FRIDAY:  I'm getting ready to have fun with the boys and then go to work.

SATURDAY:  Park day for our entire family.

Dreams of Colony Square in Atlanta

Last week, I had one of my better dreams in a long time.  More importantly, it was one of the few dreams that I could actually remember.  It was set somewhere inside a shopping mall food court.  In my mind, I believed the setting to be Midtown Atlanta's Colony Square.

In my dream, I was sitting at a table with some of my friends.  I was eating a grilled chicken sandwich with a tomato and some lettuce inside it.  I even had some big French fries to go with my sandwich.

Somewhere along the way in my dream, I met up with Pete Davidson of "Saturday Night Live."  Maybe it was Andy Samberg instead.  In my dream, I told myself it was Pete Davidson.

In reality, I woke up way too early for work.  I have been to colony square three times that I can remember.  I remember it as the place for where Fox Sports South is located.  I've applied for a job there and gotten an interview one time in 2012.  I will apply for a job there again soon.
