Today was a tough day in many respects. It was hard for me to try to sell my baseball cards and do great work for CBS46 here in Atlanta Today.
This morning I did well in waking up early enough at 8AM. Blake was already up and playing in the living room while Ben was getting up and getting his sippy cup of milk.
I was able to move some of my baseball cards from the trunk of my rogue to the front seat in order to get Ben and Blake on over to daycare. I needed to be able to get to where I needed to go in order to find a place to sell my baseball cards down in Kennesaw.
Before I continued on with my "work", I went down to a QT in Kennesaw and got me an extra large Coke Zero with cubed ice. I loved how it tasted down my throat and how it swished on throughout the inside of my mouth. I was in effect hosting a river full of Coke Zero inside my mouth with my throat serving as the waterfall flowing down my belly.
Some bad news in Kennesaw: The card shop owner didn't want any of my cards from the 1980's and 90's because 'everybody has them'. I didn't have what he wanted in terms of cards from the late 60's and earlier. After that, I tried to find two other card shops only to come up empty handed in terms of location. Personally, I think I got bogus locations for what I was looking for.
I had to decompress. Then I had to get back to work by purging some of my baseball cards that are considered strays. For the cards that were not part of complete sets or box sets, I had to get rid of them. I don't have room for them in my home anymore.
After that, I got to eat some yummy pork tacos that my wife made for us at home. I even had several sips of beer before getting ready for work. I needed that beer more than you know.
I made it to work, but it would not be an easy day. I had too many people slam me and ring my phone off the hook here in my edit bay. I had a verbal disagreement over some video that I fixed for the 5PM show. It was learned that the director made the mistake in cueing the wrong video that had an old ID. It was also the producer's fault for not writing clear instructions to give her what she wants for her show.
To make a long story short, having the same freeway sign video in two video boxes is embarrassing and makes us look really bad.
During some of my downtime, I'm getting my writing practice on. I must say I'm starting to enjoy the process right now.
I'm trying to keep my eye on the Georgia Tech/Clemson basketball game on ESPN2 as of 7:15PM right now. Georgia Tech's season is on the line with each passing game in the ACC Tournament for which they are playing in right now. As of this moment, Tech is in the 2nd round of the tournament being played in Washington, D.C.
I'm heading home for the night. I'll get to go to the dentist tomorrow for my semi-annual teeth cleaning. I'll have to fess up and tell everyone that I did not floss enough in 2015. I'm honestly not prepared to do that right now.
