Saturday was supposed to be a special day for my entire family. We were going to go to the Kennesaw Depot to see some big trucks and vehicles. Ben surely would enjoy it. I know I would.
It took some time, but we got everyone ready to go out the door just before 10AM. We got into Downtown Kennesaw around a quarter after 10. We had to navigate the world of pay parking to get to our destination. We did thanks to $5 and a place to park. Then the fun began of getting our two boys in the stroller and up the ramp we went to get to where all the big toys were.
The moral of today's story is as long as Ben got his way, he was fine. When he didn't, boy he threw down like no other. I wanted him to stand in line and wait his turn, hold my hand, listen to me, and get out of other people's shots at the fire truck. I had trouble getting Ben to any of those things with any degree of success.
I have to find some positives throughout the day. I got to see Ben inside a fire truck, Ben got to play with the steering wheel inside the ambulance. Little did I know it was turned on with the keys in the ignition, and he got close up to a helicopter on the ground. I think Ben had some fun looking at these big big toys.
Once Ben started acting up for good, we went home.
Believe me when I say this, he was happy during the day at play.
Sunday went well. We went just to church, walmart, and home. We need to try to do more fun things in and around the area.
My goal moving forward is to get Ben to behave better out in public. I say that now as I filled in for some overtime at work on Sunday.
I miss you all and I'll be home again soon.
